Bonfim is one of the oldest and most charismatic parishes in Porto, located to the east of the city center. Known for its residential and tranquil atmosphere, this area combines the charm of old Porto with modernity, characterized by tree-lined streets, manor houses, and buildings of traditional Portuguese architecture.

The British newspaper "The Guardian" has chosen Bonfim as one of the ten most pleasant urban neighborhoods in Europe. The newspaper notes that the high housing prices in the center of Porto have pushed young and creative people into this parish, which at the beginning of the 20th century was one of the most bourgeois in the city. Not far from the center, well-served by public transport, less touristy, without shopping centers but with alternative shops as well as regional goods stores, the Bonfim parish is sought after primarily by younger people and those connected to the artistic community.
